Robert Walter Wilson age 81, of Columbia, MO passed away peacefully at his home on November 20, 2021. A visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia, MO 65202 on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 1:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm along with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
He was born December 5, 1939 in Mexico, MO to William Joseph and Anna Bess Wilson. Bob was an entrepreneur and had several successful business in the Columbia area. He was best known for Wilson’s Farm Market, Wilson’s Popcorn and Candy, Wilson’s Total Fitness and many other small businesses. Bob loved spending time at the family’s cabin near Armstrong. He especially enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing with his grandchildren. He loved Jesus and was loved by many.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Anna Jo Adams (Jack); brother, Virgil Wilson; and son-in-law, Allan Price. He is survived by his wife, Joan Wilson; children, Tina Price (David Troth) and Terry Wilson (Joanna); grandchildren, Conner Price (Jackie), Cooper Price (Chanel), Mackenzie Bartley (Grady), Taylour Wilson, Hayley Wilson, Aubrey Wilson, and Emma Wilson; 5 great grandchildren.
The family is very grateful for the love and care Bob received from his caregivers Melisa, Bethany, and Zach. Donations can be made to Boone Hospital Home Care and Hospice.
