Mary E. Sillivan, 85, of Fulton, MO passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Fulton Presbyterian Manor. Visitation will be from 10-11am, Monday, November 13, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 701 Court Street Fulton, MO with Memorial Service at 11am. A private family burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery 1217 Business Loop 70 West Columbia, MO.
Mary was born August 1, 1932 in Fort Collins, CO to Albert and Lulu Reed Wright. She married Ralph Sillivan on January 3, 1954 in Englewood, CO, and he preceded her in death in 2010. Mary was an active member of the First Baptist Church for over 30 years. She was a servant of the One True God and loved His Word, she was a care giver to many and the world will be a little less bright with her gone. Mary taught Sunday School, was a Greeter, served on the Missions Committee, and was employed at First Baptist as the Financial Secretary for many years. Mary and Ralph supported missions and served in areas such as Zambia, Africa, and Ecuador. She was an avid quilter; Mary presented a signature quilt to the Fulton Historical Society in July of this year. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and loved spending time with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy (David) Writebol of Charlotte, NC, currently with SIM in Liberia, Africa, and Barbara Lord of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren, Jeremy (Stephanie) Writebol, Brian (Esther) Writebol, Jimmy (Erin) Ludden, Judy (Joe) Kraft, Tony (Krista) Ludden, April Smulders (Edwardo Martinez), Airell (Adam Emord) Lord, and Rob Lord, III; and seventeen great-grandchildren. Her parents; husband, Ralph Sillivan; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Bob Ludden preceded her in death.
