She was born January 13, 1961, the daughter of James and Shirley Bennor. She graduated from Hannibal High School in 1979.
On Nov 3, 1984, she married Mark Hughes in Honolulu, HI, and he survives.
Laurie received her Bachelor's Degree in Business from Columbia College in 2004.
Her hobbies included bowling and collecting spoons. She deeply loved her family and pets.
She also enjoyed crocheting afghans and baby blankets.
For the last eight years, she was employed by Sam's Club as a Membership Coordinator.
In addition to her loving husband, Mark, she is survived by her two daughters: Leah Hughes, Savannah, Missouri and Casey Hughes, Columbia, Missouri; stepdaughter: Rebecca Gordon, Chicago, Illinois; and her parents. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jodie Anderson.
There will be a visitation from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home. Services will follow at noon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Central Missouri Humane Society are appreciated.
