James Donald Frahm, age 86, of Marshalltown, Iowa (formerly of Harrisburg, Missouri) passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the Iowa Veterans Home. He was born in Cushing, Iowa on July 23, 1935 to Claus and Anna Christina (Clausen) Frahm, both of whom preceded him in death.
Jim proudly served as an Airman Second Class in the United States Air Force from 1956-1962. He farmed near Galva, Iowa for several years and also found success as a competitive trap shooter. Later in life, he worked for the Department of Agriculture at the University of Missouri in Columbia. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed both deer and pheasant hunting. Jim could often be found on a motorcycle or playing a game of cribbage with friends and family.
He was married to Sally (Harkness) Frahm on March 6, 1971 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They had many happy years together until her passing on December 15, 1997. Jim is survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00 am. Jim will be interred at Memorial Park Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 West, Columbia, Missouri with full military honors and laid to rest next to his beloved wife.
