“Bob” was born on August 13, 1919, on a ranch outside the small town of Geyser, Montana to John and Laura McAllister. He was a well-respected psychiatrist working in hospital settings as well as private practice. He specialized in work with Catholic religious and authored several books on religion and psychiatry.
Robert is survived by his children Frances Betty, Robert E. McAllister, John McAllister, Paul McAllister, Patricia McAdams, Laura McConville, and stepchildren Phil Brady, Kathleen Boyle, and Bonnie Lamison, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass is scheduled on September 23, 2023, at 11AM St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at the Wilde Lake Interfaith Center in Columbia, Maryland. Interment private.
