Please accept my deepest condolences for the passing of Mr. Richard "Rich" Marks.  I'll miss my friend's emails every morning.  He was funny, encouraging, and dedicated to his service.  He stayed strong as long as he could.  Praying for healing and comfort for the family during this grievous time.  God be with the family and friends!

I was blessed enough to have known Rich both in the military and in civilian life.  Rich was responsible for me getting my first job after my military time was up.  He was both a great friend and mentor.  No matter the issue, he always had good advice to help you solve the problem you were having.  He will be missed. 

I'll always remember Rich's warmth, wittiness, and kindness as a new A1C at my first overseas duty station.  I will miss him greatly.  God bless you Rich, and all your family and friends.

There are people whose mark upon us in indelible. Rich left such a mark on many, me included. 

In the early 90's, many of our lives had been turned upside down, yet Rich brought a little bit of humor to the din. I remember specifically spending what must have been an hour imbibing around a burner barrel fire at Camp Namphi early March 1991 while we watched, waited and enjoyed the burgers and dogs cooking nearby.

Rich started us in rounds of "rap" music - and generally silliness. None of us were particularly skilled at this craft of making up our own lyrics as we sang, so Rich started singing existing rap tunes in Greek or at least Greek-sounding. As a bonus, Rich did his best to mimic the actual English artist.

It was this very evening that I learned two Greek words I'll never forget. Thanks, Rich...and...

Pago. Pago. Moro. 

I knew rich for 27 years while he was in the Air Force.  Admired by all for his ability at what he did and his work ethic. Very friendly and a good family man and father.

My condolences to his wife sons daughters and grandchildren.
 Rest in peace my friend you will be missed by all.

I am so sorry for your loss. Richard or as I knew him Aremis from our little app game was a wonderful and funny person. He was such a positive person. I am so glad that I got the chance to know him. I will keep on playing for the both of us 💙.

Rich is what you call a very special person/friend.  He always had a smile on his face and was happy to see you.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in this trying time.  Rich will be missed but never forgotten.

It was my honor to spend hundreds of hours in a dark USAF aircraft with Rich, flying in many areas of the world. His conduct was professional and exemplary, serious when appropriate but good-natured almost to a fault. His quick smile and infectious laugh were shared without reservation. Even after months or even years between visits, his friendship was without gaps or pauses. He loved his country and was always ready to serve, both in uniform and after military retirement. It is my privilege to call him friend. My condolences to his family. Those who knew him share your loss and love. Be comforted knowing he had profoundly positive influence on many, many people. God bless.

My husband and I are so grateful to have had Rich as a friend. He always made us laugh and always managed to find brightness and humor, even when  in pain. It only shows what a truly great leader he was.

I am so glad I got a chance this summer to have lunch and catch up with Rich!  To Mary, Dan, Sara, Dave and Mike and all other family members I am so sorry for your loss!!!  We had some fun times back in the day and he always made me laugh!  Hugs to all.

Rich was an incredible guy. He always put a smile on my face, and was always in a good mood and positive spirit whenever we ran into each other. I first met him through our company softball team. He was always great to be around. I never got a chance to thank him for his military service in the Air Force... so, thanks, Rich! You're a very good dude and I will truly miss you, buddy. 

Rich, I want to thank you for being such an amazing mentor for me and encouraging me to stretch to be better. I flew with you all over the world and did ground work with you too. You always taught me some way to improve myself. You were always a pleasure to work with: you were always quick to smile and make a joke. I send my condolences to your family and friends, as we will always miss you.

I had the pleasure of serving in the USAF with Rich. I have fond memories of embracing the suck that was Afghanistan with him and our aircrew. He was always kind to the crew, kept us honest and professional. I'm sorry to hear about his passing. My heart goes out to his family. 

I was blessed to spend a lot of time with Rich in the USAF and afterwards in the contracting world.   He was a kind soul and a skilled professional.  You will be missed by many -- RIP Rich!
