Eileen Doyle Lucero

Eileen is survived by her daughter, Christina Doyle and her grandchildren, Owen, Lyla, Gia, Michael, John, Matthew and Tom. Eileen is preceded in death by her son James Doyle and loving parents George and Mary Doherty.

Eileen was born October 30th 1938 in Brooklyn, New York. Eileen graduated from Georgetown University with a nursing degree. Eileen was fortunate enough to have two beautiful marriages. Eileen’s first marriage was to Michael Doyle. After Eileen's husband's death she married Eddie Lucero in 1997. The two shared the love of travel, and have journeyed to all but one continent, exploring Egypt, Vietnam, Russia, Spain, China, Greece, Australia, Fiji, Thailand, and many other wondrous parts of the world.

Eileen was active in the choir and loved her Project Linus knitting group especially. She was also a lifelong volunteer with the community and church and will be missed greatly.

Mass will be held for Eileen on November 6th, 2021 at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 10431 Twin Rivers Rd Columbia, MD 21044. Burial will follow at Columbia Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to projectlinus.org, Eileen’s beloved charity.

There will be a Celebration of Life ceremony next summer for friends and family.
