Vera "Beula" Franz was a California Girl who always Sparkled Plenty. Her parents lived on the California-Nevada border and the only hospital in the area was in Stewart, Nevada. She lived in Nevada for only 10 days while her mother recovered after the birth. She was born on November 9, 1941 to her wonderful mother Agnes (Anthony) and beloved father, Jackson Snooks. Vera was raised in a small town and she set her heart on the big city as a small girl. She always felt as if she was destined for more as she watched the jet streams over her small town of Markleeville, California. When she matured into a stunning young woman, she packed her things and moved to San Francisco, her "Love City." San Francisco became her "Love City" because this is when she met her husband of 50+ years, Gerald "Les" Franz. They met through mutual friends who had been dating at the time. After Les set eyes on Vera, her chased her all around the city. Les and Vera were married on September 2, 1960 in Carson City, Nevada and moved to San Bernardino, California directly afterwards. Vera Franz was the mother of three children, Jerry Franz, Robert Franz, and Julie Cope. Vera enjoyed traveling the world, spoiling her grandchildren, cooking delicious meals, and chatting on the phone. She will never be forgotten in the hearts of those she touched.
She is survived by her husband Les; her children Robert Franz and Jule Cope; her grandchildren Nathan Franz, Jake Franz, Ashley Franz, Jackie Neypes; Son-in-Laws Jon Cope and Matthew Neypes; Daughter-in-Law Lori Franz; wonderful friends Joanie Rettinger, Freida Pryor, and Nancy Stahl; Brother Wayne Snooks; Danielle and Corky Snooks; her favorite cousin James "Jimmy" Anthony; special friend Tom Dainko; her only surviving aunt Madeline Henry.
