Rudy Acosta, beloved husband, father, and Grandpa went peacefully on Thursday February 1, 2018 to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He died in his home in Oak Hills, Ca while surrounded by his loving family and blanketed by prayers from family and friends across the country.
Rudy was born January 21, 1923, in El Paso, Texas to Jose and Maria Acosta. He proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army/Air Force during World War II, which he spoke of frequently and passionately. His time in the service has been documented and recognized by documentaries and museums.
Rudy leaves behind a loving family in his wife of 63 years, Irene Campoy Acosta, two loyal daughters Debra (Mac) McKeever and Monica (Gary) LeRoy, son Rudy Jr., and 7 adoring grandchildren, Dolores, Michael, Andrea, Evan, Alexis, Elizabeth and Robby and 5 great grandchildren, Lucas, Allison, Dominic, Carter, and Dagan. In addition to his immediate family Rudy was loved deeply by his siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
His life was one of tremendous character and love. He was a faithful servant to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and will live in eternal peace. He will be deeply missed.
Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3520 Washington St. Colton, Ca.
Viewing-Visitation are beginning at 9:00 A.M., Rosary at 10:00A.M., and Catholic Mass at 10:30A.M.
A funeral procession immediately following the mass to Riverside National Cemetery.
