On the evening of March 3, 2020, Michael Alfred Bay of Hesperia passed away while surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 53. A lifelong native of California, he was born in San Bernardino on Jan. 4, 1967, to parents Alfred Garnet Bay and Delores Bay, both now deceased. Mike married the love of his life, Jennifer Caccamise Bay, on March 2, 2002, and was a loving brother to his sister, Tammy. A graduate of San Bernardino Valley College, he spent more than three decades as a school bus driver and trainer for Adelanto School District and Laidlaw, always taking his responsibility seriously for the safe transport of countless school children and the careers of many well-trained drivers. He is survived by his wife Jen and two sons Daniel and Grover; sister Tammy; mother-in-law Liz; brother-in-laws Mike, Mike and Rick; sister-in-laws Karen and Jennie; nephews Ryan, Richard, Sam, Matt and Corbin; nieces Kaira, Corinna, Kylene and Sage; great nieces Allyson, Alayna and Aleiyah; and numerous beloved friends and extended family members. A kind man with a huge heart and a shenanigan-filled sense of humor, it was never in doubt that Mike loved his family through and through. He was a big fan of Star Wars and the Los Angeles Angels, and loved to spoil his dogs, Lexie and Sandy. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324. Viewing will be from 1-3 p.m., service from 3-5 p.m. and reception to follow at Elks Lodge, 2055 Elks Drive, San Bernardino, CA. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. “Twilight is upon me, and soon night must fall. That is the way of things.” – Yoda.
