Born Margarita Yniguez in Jerome, Arizona. Married 54 years to her "Honey", Nestor F. Alcantar, until his passing in 2011. Loving and devoted Mother to Tony Alcantar (spouse, Anna), Joseph Alcantar (spouse, Maria) and Daughter, Rita Shepard (spouse, David Shepard). Adoring Grandmother to Tiffany, Crystal, Heidi, Denise, Laura and Jackie. Very proud Great Grandmother to Hayden, Cody, Dylan, Kayla, Alyssa, Brianna, Lucas, Ben, Roxanne and Archie. Also by numerous nephews and nieces and multiple family members.
Maggie grew up in Arizona and moved to Southern California at a young age. She graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1951. As a youngster, she loved to dance. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed flowers, reading, watching Angels baseball and also football, and listening to music. Over the last several years, she loved living near the ocean. Maggie was a devout Christian and was known as a "fierce prayer warrior"! She touched many lives, and was always ready to help and encourage anyone in need. We will all miss her greatly. As Maggie has now entered her Lord's presence in Heaven, we will honor and remember her at her Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, Valley View Chapel, 3520 East Washington Street, Colton, CA 92324. Here, her remains will reside next to her husband and sister-in-law, Nora. Reception will follow after the service.
