I met Luis "Louie" not too long after befriending Michael in high school. Although Mike and I were good friends, I felt that Louie, due to his age and personality, synced with me very well.  From teen years to mid/late twenties I experienced many things with Louie...off roading and almost getting into a brawl with homeboys, backpacking and helping his rott Charlie down a mountain after he had been bitten by a snake, helping Louie take a fish hook out of his baby kittens paw...gosh too many crazy memories. I never had a biological brother, and counted Mike and Louie among others as my adopted brothers....too many fun, difficult, crazy, loving memories. Louie was a good man, a loving son, tio, brother and friend. I am proud to have spent so many years with him. I wish the familia Castaneda continued healing and comfort. Louie...we will see each other again, my brotha.

My deepest condolences to Diane, Carmen and the rest of the Castaneda family. Louie touched many hearts with his vibrant personality. I came across the following picture the other day. Thought I would share it with you. We will miss seeing his smile. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
