To the Lara family,
My deepest heart felt condolences and love go out to you all. I'm a firm believer that God works through those who listen and Jose was a man of God.  His faith and devotion to his family, children, wife and all those who were blessed to know him can attest to his kindness and loving spirit. I first met him when I was a little boy about 7-8 years old and he was my Baseball coach. Since that time on his Son  Gordo and I went from being a boy, teenager, adult and father. His home was my home away from home.. He often would be the voice of reason and treated me like a son... Good or bad, he never said anything that I could disagree with. He was a voice of maturity and wisdom that I often needed as a young man. His intention was always to see me live a life of faith and of family.
A conversation I had with Jose in early Nov at the funeral of Father Bob, Jose said he was ready. Ready for whatever God had planned for him and did not fear death. His mind, body and spirit was in the hands of God. I believe God had touched Jose to understand that he would soon be in heaven and he was prepared for the path God had for him. At that moment in time, he shared so deeply what many can not. I wanted to sit and talk with him for hours. His voice spoke out to me like many times before.  Jose lara had touched my soul with hos words and faith and love for others. 
I love Jose like a father and feel truly blessed to have met such a wonderful person in my life. May you continue to shine a light on us hear on earth with your prayers and love. I pray that you act as a guardian angel for your family, friends and me.

My dear uncle Jose Lara was a magnificent man.  My heart is still in disbelief that you are no longer here. The only comfort that covers the heartbreak is knowing you are beside our Lord watching over all of us. I miss you.

Nunca olvidare cuando me hablabas de Dios, palabras  que me hicieron entender muchas cosas ...❤ Gracias.... Diosito te tenga en su santa Gloria.... Esto no es un Adios, si no un hasta luego❤

Mr. Lara was a very gentle person, his kindness flowed through him in his smile and in his way of speaking to you. He will be missed by many. Thank you Mr. Lara for being such a good friend. You are now with all the angels in the kingdom of god. May you Rest In Peace.
