Daniel “Danny” Christopher Straka was born on November 8, 1977 in Fontana, CA and went to be with the Lord on June 12, 2022. Danny married his soul mate, Serena, on November 2, 2003 and they welcomed their first child, Dalilah in 2004 followed by their second child, Daniel, in 2009. Danny enjoyed life and brought unmatched energy wherever he went. He had a deep love for his wife and children and was a loving and dedicated husband and father.
Danny earned his high school diploma and later went on to study at the University of Phoenix. He served as a paid-call firefighter with Cal Fire for the city of Highland and briefly for the city of Grand Terrace. Danny was very proud of being a father and a husband. He filled the untraditional role of being a stay-at-home father during the early years of his children’s’ lives. Danny was a stellar father and was focused on giving his children all he had. More recently, Danny served as a campus security officer and enjoyed working with students on middle school and high school campuses.
Danny also enjoyed working on cars from a young age. From the time he was a young adult, Danny regularly “fixed up” Honda Civics and CRXs. He was an active person and enjoyed his yard work, working on projects around the house, working out, going for walks, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. Danny was always up for a conversation and enjoyed bantering with family and friends.
Danny thrived during his life and did not believe in losing. He was a consistent example of strength, persistence, love, determination, and positivity in all he did. Danny had a heart of gold and truly lived his life his way, an extraordinary model for his children, wife, and all who knew him.
Danny is survived by his wife and soul mate, Dr. Serena Straka; their two children, Dalilah Straka and Daniel Straka II; his mother, Charlene Straka; his brother, Robert Straka; and his sister Jennifer Straka. Danny is also survived by several family and friends who love him.
A funeral service for Daniel will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324.
