Andrew R. McIvor passed away unexpectedly March 16, 2017. He is survived by his Parents Deborah and Owen, and his Brothers Alex and Matt. He is also survived by his beloved Grandma West, Aunt Denny, Aunt Margie (Dan), Grandpa McIvor, Uncles Andy (Maura), Doug, Aunt Wendy and Cousins. All of whom are left utterly heartbroken.
Andrew was an incredibly kind and generous person. From best friends to barely acquaintances, he was always willing to go out of his way to help anyone with anything they needed. He left an immediate impression of being funny, personable and selfless. A warm and sensitive soul, Andrew enjoyed creating art, movies with friends, making others laugh, going out on the town and speaking with his Mother. He was many things: a late night quesadilla connoisseur, a love of hip hop and street art, a hugger, a movie quoter, milkshakes drinker and a guy struggling to find his place in the world. But above all he was a true and honest friend.
Andrew graduated from The Webb School of California in 2008 and Chapman University with a BA in Economics in 2012. He was awarded Chapman University's Man of Integrity Award in 2011. This is bestowed to the student who best leads by example, treats everyone with respect and equality, lives by his own conviction and follows through with established goals while actively promoting a safe environment. He was chosen by his classmates for this honor. At Chapman he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
Andrew worked at Downtown Reel Productions as an Executive Assistant and Production Assistant. Previously he worked at SCB Forums and Entertainment Lab.
He will be forever loved and forever remembered.
