Bill was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 20,1930, and was the eldest of 10 children.
Bill married Carmen R. Paredes on August 20, 1949 in New York, and were married for over 60 years. Bill and Carmen spent most of their retirement years in Puerto Rico before moving back to New York.
He was pre-deceased by his wife Carmen Gonzalez, daughter Jeanette Tew, and son William Gonzalez Jr.
Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory, children, Madlyn D'Ambrose of Patchogue, New York, and son Matthew Gonzalez of Colorado Springs. Seven grandchildren and one great grand child.
A private family memorial service will take place in New York later in the year.
