Vivian was born November 16, 1921 in Fallon, Nevada to Jessie and Margarette Bruner. She was the youngest of 7 children. After graduating from high school, Vivian worked for an ammunition depot in Babbitt, Nevada during World War II. It is there she met the love of her life and married that handsome sailor June 2, 1945. A year later they moved to Colorado Springs where she resided until her passing.
In her early years of marriage, Vivian was an active member of the First Baptist Church as a Sunday School teacher and a member of several women's circles. Later she became a dedicated member of A Church for All Nations. There she brought a friendly smile and a warm hug to many as a church greeter. Vivian was happiest when she was surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren. She lived her life in service not only to her family, but to all that she came in contact with. She will be remembered for her unconditional love and generosity.
Vivian is survived by her son, Ron Martinez (Sheri) and daughter, Cindy Murphy (Andy).
