It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Todd Hoch, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend. He passed away peacefully on May 27th with family at his side. Todd was born on March 3, 1957, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and he lived a life that was full of laughter, love, and faith.
Todd was a devoted father to his three children, Jason, Jeremy and Lindsey. He was the best Pop-Pop to Reagan any granddaughter could ever have. Todd also shared a unique bond with his daughter-in-law Devon, that was full of endless banter.
Reagan was the apple of his eye and always told her, “You are my heart”. Todd is the youngest of his siblings, Ron and Deborah Kron.
Todd was a man of great faith. He prayed often for his family and for others. He found comfort in reading the Bible every day and he spent his life serving God knowing one day he will join Him in heaven. He loved to help children in need and he often extended his hand to help the less fortunate.
Despite facing the challenges of ALS, Todd remained strong and fought the disease with grace and courage. He loved playing chess and would never turn down a game. He was also passionate about sharing his love for the game and ran a chess club at Mitchell High School, where he was a building manager for many years.
Todd had a talent for finding hidden treasures at garage sales and our local flea market. He could always spot a great deal. He turned his love for treasure hunting into a successful business, and he enjoyed sharing his finds with others.
Todd's ex-wife, Hope Hoch, was by his side until the very end, with a friendship that continued long after their marriage ended.
Todd will be missed dearly and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace and thank you for all the laughter, love, and light you brought into our lives.
Todd will be honored at a graveside burial with family members at Evergreen Cemetery. He will be laid to rest next to his parents, Joe and Jennie. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the ALS Rocky Mountain Chapter. A tribute page has been created in Todd’s honor, please see below.
