Tom was born on September 7, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to Angeline Zagorski and Aloysius Knopp. He was the youngest of 2 boys.
He enlisted in the Air Force at the age of 18 and began his 20 year career serving our nation. While in England, he met his bride, Elizabeth Gawthorp. They were married on April 19 and shared 65 years of marriage. They had 3 children; Stephen, Jennifer and Catherine.
They have 7 grandchildren, Geoffrey Rubick, Morgan England, Lily McDonald, Kristina Benner, Holly Johnson, Brendan Knopp and Gregory Schendzielos.
You can honor Tom’s life at the memorial service, which will be held on Monday, May 8th at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 6455 Brook Park Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80918. An inurnment will be held on Tuesday, May 9th at 2:00 pm at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925
