Thomas Dugay, age 76, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023. He was born on September 20, 1947 to Walter & Barbara (Colby) Dugay in Lowell, Massachusetts. Thomas, known to his loved ones as Tom, was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
In 1971 Thomas met his wife, Yvonne Sevigny at a Disco through a mutual friend. Fourteen months later, on April 8th, 1972, they married at St. Mary’s Church in East Hartford, Connecticut.
Tom proudly served his country for more than 20 years, as a member of both the US Air Force and the US Army achieving the rank of E7 (Sergeant First Class). After his retirement from the military, Tom worked as an IT Specialist for companies such as MCI, WorldCom, SAIC, and VISA. He also served as an IT Contractor at Cheyenne Mtn. and Shreiver AFB. Outside of his professional life, Tom enjoyed various hobbies, such as golf and shooting. He found joy in exercising, watching movies and TV, camping, and spending quality time with his family and his beloved dogs, Loki and Shadow.
Often described as reserved and quiet by those who did not know him well, Tom was known by friends and family as a patient, funny, and caring man. He adored his wife and cherished his family deeply.
Tom found friendship and community at Springs First Church of the Nazarene, where he and Yvonne worshiped.
Thomas will be sorely missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Thomas is survived by his wife Yvonne, his son Jason, his daughter in-law Kim, and his grandchildren Kaelyn, Anthony, and Markus. He is also survived by his sister Janet. He had two younger brothers Douglas and Eric, who preceded him in death. Thomas is also preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Barbara, and his daughter, Shannon.
