Stephanie Ann René Roethler, beloved wife, exceptional mother and daughter passed away on January 24, 2014 in Fountain, Colorado. She was born in Colorado Springs on December 3, 1990, the daughter of Charles K. Higgins and the late Amy Sue Webb-Higgins.
Stephanie grew up and resided in the Fountain area most of her life; graduating from Fountain Fort Carson High School in 2009. She was attending Pikes Peak Community College working towards a degree in psychology.
Her father Charles gave her hand in marriage to Brandon K. Roethler. With love filled hearts and an array of plans, hopes and dreams they started their life together on December 15, 2010. The highlight of their union though, was the shared anticipation and joy prior to, the day of and the years following Brayden James’ birth. Stephanie loved being a momma and cuddling with her ‘Bubba’.
Stephanie’s artistic talents are visible through sketchbooks but especially the pages of the scrapbooks she created of her son Brayden. She enjoyed a variety of music and was especially drawn to songs with lyrics that touched the heart. She was an Oakland Raiders fan and found pleasure in camping and hosting friends.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, devoted husband, Brandon Roethler; adoring son Brayden; parents, Charles and Rebecca Higgins, Jim and Geri Roethler; brothers Curran Higgins, Connor Higgins, Justin Roethler, and Ryan Roethler; sister Trish Meek; grandparents Renate Jones, Carol Webb and Dale Webb; as well as a nephew and host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain View Mortuary; 2350 Montebello Square Drive, Colorado Springs.
