July 8, 1919 - July 24, 2018 Sol Mayer, beloved
husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather,
passed awaypeacefully, July 24, 2018.
Sol was born in NewYork City, New York on July 8, 1919.
After a full career in the Air Force, serving during WWII, Korea,
and Vietnam, followed by a second career in civilian
industry, Sol and his wife June took to traveling all
over the world.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory devoted wife, June
Mayer; three children, Rochelle (Steve) Edelman, Marilyn (Gary)
Solomon and Ellis (Paula) Mayer; grandchildren,
David, Stephanie, Marc, Jonathan, Evan and Jamie;
six great-grandchildren, as well as a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at Sons of Israel
Cemetery on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Temple Shalom or
Hadassah of Colorado Springs.
