She was born in Gilroy, California in 1943 and attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. There she met the father of her four children, Chester Lewis. They moved several times as part of a military career, including a four year residence in Japan which stimulated a livelong interest in the art and culture of that country.
The family settled in Holbrook, Arizona where Sharron spent her days raising her children. After her children were grown, Sharron relocated to California to be near her parents and family where she pursued a career as a dental assistant. Upon retiring, she moved to Colorado to be closer to her children and their families.
Sharron had a passion for knowing how to do things, particularly hand crafts. She was truly a Renaissance woman and could tell you how to do virtually anything from sewing a dress, making paper, spinning yarn, preserving food, making lace or even care for farm animals. Her vast knowledge and willingness to share it will be missed by her family and local community.
She is survived by her brother, Gordon Bowling, daughters, Shanda Horsley and Shannon Winski, son, Richard Lewis, grandchildren, Justin, Trevor, Shanae, Neptune, Koeli, Johan, and Romani and great grandchild, Shauna.
