Sharon was born on December 19, 1955 in Petersburg, Virginia to Jasmine and Hugh Ledbetter. She spent the majority of her life in Norman, Oklahoma, but has influenced and enlightened many people’s lives all over the country. Sharon was an active debutant and attended prestigious social gatherings and events all over the world before moving to Michigan to attend Hillsdale College. She graduated a proud member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology before moving back to Norman, where she loved and raised her two children before eventually moving to Colorado.
A successful business owner, Sharon enjoyed spending her free time designing jewelry and collecting art, and stayed up to date in politics and current events. Sharon was unabashedly generous. She supported many charitable causes and was constantly seeking ways to bless and demonstrate her adoration for those around her. She especially loved dogs and would frequently donate to her local humane society. Sharon loved her children, and those close to her, deeply and unconditionally. Sharon was a beloved mother, a wonderful friend, and will be missed terribly. She is an irreplaceable part of many lives that will never be made whole again. She is survived by her two children, Jasmine Taylor and Jacob Adams, as well as daughter-in-law, Nichole Adams, and countless friends.
A memorial service to honor her will be held at 4:00PM, Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903. A reception is to follow at one of her favorite restaurants, to respect her love of social gatherings and fellowship with friends.
