Roy Gregory Jr., 82, died peacefully in a local hospital on February 9, 2022. He was born in Kentucky on June 6, 1939, to Roy and Ruth Gregory.
Roy served in the US Army for 20 years, including working as a medic during the conflict in Vietnam. After retirement, he worked as an LPN and served in the automotive pool, retiring from civil service in 2000. Roy also enjoyed fishing and traveling as a young man, and spent time enjoying Colorado mountains with his wife Phyllis after his retirement.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bob Gregory, his son Brian, and his wife Phyllis. He is survived by daughter Angela Sweet and son-in-law Scott Sweet, as well as his brother Lary Gregory, and several nephews and nieces. He will be missed.
Graveside services are planned for March 5 at Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Roy’s memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Samaritan’s Purse.
