He was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 10th, 1929 to the late Francis E. Revell and Gudrun (Goodie) Olson-Revell. He graduated from Roosevelt High School, Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1948. He joined the United States Navy Reserves in June of 1948 and became active duty December 1952. On November 26th, 1954 he married the love of his life Laura Olive Claire Gustafson. He attended the University of Minnesota with studies in Liberal Arts.
Friends and family were important to him. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the cabin on Mound Lake in Minnesota, snowmobiling, and boating on the pontoon. His hobby was being the local handy-man for family, friends, and neighbors. He volunteered at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis and was a member of the Minneapolis Institute of Art. He was also a Shriner.
He is survived by his wife, Claire Revell, his two sons and their wives, Robert & Amy Revell of Glen Ridge, New Jersey, Ken & Crystal Revell of Colorado Springs, Colorado, his sister and her husband, Joni & Denny Murphy of Aitkin, Minnesota, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He has a sister-in-law, Millie Revell (wife of his brother Kenneth Revell) of New Holland, Pennsylvania. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Kenneth Revell of Long Island, New York.
