She was born to Herman and Florence Vogler and grew up in Macomb, Illinois. She and her husband moved to Colorado Springs in 1998.
Peggy is survived by her husband of more than 48 years, Frank, a retired USAF officer, a son Robert (Melanie) of Brigham City, Utah and a daughter, Linda Hagedorn (David) of Colorado Springs. She had 6 grandchildren who she adored and who will greatly miss “Grandma Peggy.” Peggy is also survived by a brother, Bill Schlegel of Davenport Iowa and a sister, Eva Osborn of Macomb, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Following her marriage in March 1963, Peggy traveled with her husband to Mississippi , Michigan, Guam, Nebraska, The Netherlands, Kansas, North Dakota and Utah. Peggy was a gregarious person who made friends easily despite her health issues. She enjoyed playing Mah Jong and Bingo and quickly made many friends at every place they lived. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and spent numerous hours with Frank on fishing “expeditions.” She also enjoyed visiting her grandchildren as well as Frank’s sisters in the Denver area.
