Patricia J. Gilley, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her, passed away at home on November 20, 2017, in Lake George, Colorado. She was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado July 17, 1949 the first child born to the late William and Helen Hayes.
Patricia graduated from Woodland Park High School in 1967. After graduation she continued her education and received her accounting degree. She worked for the telephone and gas company before meeting her husband of 41 years Robert C. Gilley of Lake George, Colorado who she married on April 9th, 1976.
Patricia and Robert have lived in Lake George, Colorado area their entire married life and have had the opportunity to operate a few small businesses in the area as well as be involved in the local community.
Patricia’s family and friends were an extremely important part of her life and you could always know that she was doing something for others.
She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memory, her devoted husband Robert C. Gilley; loving children Randy (Erin) Gilley of Lake George, Colorado; Mary Jane (Luke) Morris of Parker, Colorado and her precious grandchildren, Ivan, Ella Jane, Lydia, & Twin Baby Boys; Sisters; Carol Plutt, Jean Browning, Peggy Chambers, and Sam Hayes as well as a host of wonderful Aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Public Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 9:00am to 5:00pm at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado. A “Celebration of Life” is scheduled for this coming summer on her birthday Tuesday July 17, 2018 at “Travel Port” 39284 US Hwy 24 Lake George, Colorado. A private service and burial will take place in Lake George, Colorado.
In Lieu of flowers or food memorial contributions may be made to the “Patricia Gilley Memorial Fund” at the Pikes Peak Credit Union in Woodland Park, Colorado set up for her future grandchildren.
