Nancy Anne Stuart Gallegos, 81, of Colorado Springs passed away July 30, 2021. Mrs. Gallegos was born November 17, 1939 in Eldridge, Missouri. She joined the United States Army in 1957 and helped pave the way for future women in the service until she met and married a handsome soldier named Edward Gallegos. Together they created a life they loved that was full of adventure. They raised five children; Teresa Clark, Benjamin Gallegos (Lezlee), Jon Gallegos (Lynette), Nancy Parker, and Julie Turner (Jonathan). She is survived by all five children, 21 grandchildren,18 great grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends who loved and respected her.
Nancy was raised by loving grandparents Walter and Mary Kincaid. She was preceded in death by her mother Sally Jane (Mertal Lucille Kinkaid), brother James Alter and sister Belita Stewart. She is survived by her sisters: Emma Harris, Kathy Alderman, Loma Halpaine, and Martha Swaty; and brothers Charles Kincaid, Walter Kincaid, Joseph Kincaid and Robert Kincaid.
She will always be remembered for being kind and having a desire to live a life built on service for others.
Visitation is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Swan Law Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1705 Murray Blvd, Colorado Springs Colorado. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 South Hancock Blvd., Colorado Springs with Military Honors. Nancy will be missed by her family and friends until the morning of the first resurrection. Matthew 25:21 - His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of the Lord.
