Maxine, or ‘Sissy’ or ‘Grandma’, was a very devout Pentecostal Christian. Maxine would enjoy just sitting and talking with anyone. She never had a problem making friends. Everyone that met Maxine enjoyed knowing her. I think it is safe to say that everyone that met Maxine loved her and Maxine loved everyone she ever met. Maxine wanted to always be remembered by the roots of her family and the family that she taught to be the great people that they are today. We will always remember her for her kindness and life lessons that she instilled into us all.
Thank you, Erica, for being Grandma’s primary caregiver. Grandma was always happy that you were there to help her out. In the beginning when she just needed someone to help with a task, later on when she needed “just a little help” and towards the end, when she needed a familiar face that she trusted, you were there and we cannot thank you enough.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 4th, 2021 in the afternoon.
