Martha Louise Steinheimer passed away on March 20th, 2015 at Brookdale Monument Valley Park Assisted Living Facility. Under hospice care to her death, she died peacefully in her sleep of natural causes.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Morris Lee Steinheimer; brother, Billy Castleberry and sister, Mary Castleberry.
She is survived by a son, Don Black; a daughter, Judy Murray; four grandchildren; Michele (Vincent) Gillis, James Murray, Beth Black, Robin Black; a sister, Emily Wynn; a brother, Cecil Castleberry; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Born in Montgomery County, TN on April 3rd,1927 to Homer and Hattie Castleberry, Louise spent most of her early life living and working on a farm before marrying the love of her life on December 20th, 1948. As a military spouse she moved often and enjoyed traveling, meeting new friends, raising a family and working in retail sales.
Louise lived a full life exemplified by faith, charity, and love. She was an avid volunteer at Compassion International, and with her church. Over the years, she spread a kind heart, and God's word to many home bound seniors throughout Colorado Springs. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, attending church activities, regaling with the Red Hat Society, and baking anything with chocolate.
