Marie Richardson

Henrietta M. Richardson passed away at the age of 93 in Billings, Montana on October 14, 2016. She was born in Walters, OK. on July 3, 1923 to Edgar A. and Kitty M. Pearson. Her early years were spent in Walters. She graduated in 1941 from Walters High School. Her father was a used car dealer. He died as a result of car wreck when a car he purchased unknowingly had faulty brakes; Henrietta was only 7 at the time. her mother worked various jobs to support her and her sister. Henrietta married Harvey Ashcraft and a son, Harvey C. Ashcraft was born on July 22, 1945. Sometimes afterward she moved to Kansas. Henrietta married Howard McGlothlin on May 23, 1947 and a daughter Raetta was born to this union on April 4, 1948. The family moved to Colorado Springs, CO. in 1961. Henrietta worked at the Fort Carson Army hospital on the appointment desk until her retirement in 1985. She married the love of her life Verne W. Richardson on April 18, 1969. After his unexpected death in 2007, she moved to Billings, Montana to be near her daughter. She loved the many camping trips she and Verne made to their beloved mountains. She enjoyed gardening and had a special love fro all animals. She was a self taught artist and painted many beautiful pictures which she shared with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Raetta Walborn of Billings, MT., 4 step children, Howard R. McGlothlin Jr., Of Aurora, CO., Rebecca Rodenbeck of Canon City, CO., Cynthia Coszalter of Colorado Springs, CO. and Cameron Richardson of Yoder, CO., four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in passing by a sister, Julia Cates, her parents, her husband, Verne Richardson and her son HarveyC. Ashcraft. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Funeral Services Friday, October 28, 2106 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens.
