Margaret Irene Darr was born in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, on October 17, 1927 to Dewey Heyer and Lydia (Stauffer) Heyer. She married Charles Darr 65 years ago on April 17, 1948. She was a committed Christian and served with her husband for 55 years in ministry. She was a loving wife and mother. Margaret retired from Shephard’s-McGraw Hill after 25 years of service.
Our sweet mother passed away on May 17, 2013. She leaves behind her husband, six children, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Harriet and Edith, and granddaughter, Jamie. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. We do not say “good-bye” but rather “I’ll meet you in the morning” as we will be reunited one day in heaven.
