Manuela Meece

Manuela (Nellie) Meece, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, born December 1, 1938 has departed this earth on April 5, 2023.

Nellie was a woman of her word, stubborn and loving. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren fiercely. She worked hard to make sure that her four daughters were taken care of. She was a woman of faith and prayed for all of you. She knew God watched over her, and her angels reminded her of that every day. She was extremely independent, and her strength was beyond measure. She was a woman with many stories and much wisdom. She was the Matriarch of our family and having us all together was what made her happiest. She loved dancing, singing, watching novellas, and making people laugh. Her laugh was contagious, especially if it was her own joke.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita, her father Joe, her brother Raymond and her sister Inez.

She is survived by four daughters, Cynthia Trujillo, Maria Charlotte, Gloria Villatoro, and Silvia Huffman.

A visitation for Manuela will be held Friday, April 14, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. A funeral service will occur Friday, April 14, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. A committal service will occur Friday, April 14, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
