Lucretia “Lu” Ann Kuhlmann, of Monument Colorado, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 in her home. Lu was born in Belvidere, Illinois on March 10, 1953 to parents James Burch and Mabel (Janes) Burch. She spent most of her life in Illinois and therefore has been a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. She graduated from Southern Illinois University and went on to work for Osco Drug, Sathers Candy, The Christian Science Committee of Publication in Chicago, and became the Business Manager for Interstate Roof Systems Consultants, and most recently she is known for her work as a Christian Science Jail Chaplain at the El Paso County Jail. She was happily married to Roger Kuhlmann May 30, 1981. She is survived by her husband Roger, her four children Kristin Kuhlmann, Kevin Kuhlmann, Margo Kuhlmann Kelly, and Alyssa Kuhlmann, her six grandchildren Kelsey, Forrest, and Lucas Kuhlmann, Ryan Conner, Mason and Tatum Kelly, her sister Debbie Mathews, and her brother in law Neil Wackermann. Lu is preceded in death by her parents and brother Steven Burch. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Swan Law Funeral Home, 501 N Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs. A graveside service will be held in Denison, Iowa at the Crawford Heights Memory Garden on February 6, 2020. In lieu of flowers Lu would love donations made out to her church.
