Lori Nichols Buck, 61, peacefully fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday, August 27, 2022. While heartbroken at our loss, we are thankful she is with the Lord, whom she loved. Married to Jeff Buck for 34 years, Lori is pre-deceased by her father-in-law Robert W. Buck and brother-in-law Robert A. Buck. Survivors: husband Jeff, her father Lawrence Lee Nichols (Georgia), mother Tana Nichols, mother-in-law Karen Buck, brother Lawrence Lee Nichols III (Sue), brother-in-law Kenny Buck, nephew Cody Buck (Mariah) ,nieces Nikki Nichols Poburka (Will) and Tori Rushing Mitchell (Chris), nephews Kevin Nichols and Kyle Nichols, grand-nephew Roxtyn.
We will miss Lori’s loving heart and spirit, great sense of humor, quick smile, and ways she found humor in her surroundings. With immense pride in her cooking, Lori was known for her extraordinary, creative meals, often comparable to those of top chefs. Lori and Jeff enjoyed sharing their love for the outdoors, camping, fishing, and motorcycle riding. Born July 19, 1961 in Dallas, Texas, Lori graduated from Lewisville High School in 1979. In her younger years, Lori showed horses, ribboning in English and Western classes. Among Lori's greatest fulfillments was working for her dad, at Premier Homes and Nichols & Comito Homes, for 20 years. Lori’s memory lives on eternally within the hearts of those who love her. A memorial service honoring Lori’s life will be held at Sunrise United Methodist Church at 2655 Briargate Blvd. on Wednesday, August 31 at 10:30 am.
