Ken was born on September 24, 1948, in Georgia to Kenneth and Betty Robinette. He was the first of two children. Growing up with a father in the military, he lived in various cities within the United States and multiple countries throughout the world developing a passion for music, movies, working on vintage cars, and learning all he could about history.
After graduating from Dell City High School in Oklahoma in 1966, he worked for Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, TX as a mechanical engineer. While living in San Antonio he met Peggy Adams in 1974. The two were later married on June 28, 1986.
Their dream was to retire to Colorado. They moved to Colorado Springs in 2004. He loved living near the mountains and being able to travel throughout the area discovering the scenic views.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Peggy Robinette; stepson Patrick Bauer of Elizabethtown, KY; sister Janet Wolber of Seguin, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in passing by his father, mother, and brother-in-law, Ted Wolber.
Graveside services will be held Friday, January 6, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
