Kay Marie Marshbanks beloved wife, mother and friend passed away peacefully on March 17th, 2021. She was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on September 4th, 1955. She was the third of four children to the late Dolores and Ellis Marshbanks.
Kay was a native to Colorado Springs graduating from Wasson High School in 1973. Kay attended Blair College where she received a Associates Degree in Computer Science. She worked for NCR/Symbios Logic for several years. She then worked for Chick-fil-A, Remington Elementary School Crossing Guard and King Pin Bowling Alley.
She met her husband, Larry, in October of 1986. Where they enjoyed going on dates to dinner and the movies. One of her favorite pass times was bowling. Her and Larry, were on the same bowling league for almost 30 years.
Kay was extremely passionate and caring for others. She made it her life's work to make sure everyone around her was taken care of. She loved being a mother- her two children Shannon and Zachary were her greatest acheivement in her life. She did whatever she could to help them succeed and help their dreams come true.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, devoted husband, Lawrence A. Lee, loving children, Shannon (Daughter) Van Til, and Zachary (Son) Lee. Her siblings Donald (Brother) Marshbanks, Ronald (Brother) Marshbanks and Rodney (Brother) Marshbanks as well as wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
Celebration of Life will take place Friday March 26th, 2021 at 6:00pm, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
