Colorado Springs, CO on May 31, 2014. He was born July 17, 1941 in Uniontown, PA to John William and Lola May Thompson. He graduated high school in Uniontown, PA in 1959 and then proudly served in the US Navy on the USS Hornet. He fell in love and married Blanche Campbell in 1964. After leaving the Navy in 1968, Jack worked as an electrical engineer and lived in Long Beach, CA, San Jose, CA, Brasschaat, Belgium and then settled down with his family in Colorado Springs in 1976. He made Colorado Springs his home for the last 36 years.
Jack enjoyed working on cars, building computers and spending time with his family.
He was a strong, easy going, fun-loving man who would do anything to help anyone. He readily made life long friends and was a wonderful example of what a husband, father and granddad should be. Jack is survived by his three sisters: Lola May Moser, Abigail Thompson and Heather Workman, and several nieces and nephews. Jack will be missed by his wife Blanche Thompson, and children Daniel (Christine) Thompson and Christine (Gary) Kaufhold. He was adored by his three grandchildren, Emily, Alec and Casey Kaufhold.
