Jack lost his battle with cancer on January 26, 2015. He fought hard for 8 years and lived life fully.
He was active in the Colorado Springs community as a tee-ball coach, Boy Scout leader and school volunteer.
Jack was born May 5, 1951, to Cletus and Helen Seymour. He received his early education at St. Clements, Bankston, Iowa. He graduated from St. Joseph High School, Farley, Iowa – Class of 1969. He attended college at Ames, Iowa and Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa. He also received his drafting degree from P.P.C.C.. After working for many local contractors, he started Jack Seymour Construction. He enjoyed all of his clients and loved leaving his mark on all of the homes and businesses he worked on.
Jack loved jokes, camping, his patio aka THE PARTY PIT, little kids, blues music, traveling, sharing history with his kids and grandkids, his home, things that go boom, teaching his kids how to succeed as adults, spending time with family, laughing, collecting Native-American art, a good cigar and a glass of Scotch.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Seymour; his wife of 40 years, Nancy “Angie” Seymour; his children, Sara Cyr ( Joel), Anna Seymour Kitowski, Jacob Seymour, Joseph Seymour, Megan Seymour Zygmunt, John Seymour, Joshua (Mary) Seymour, Jeffrey Seymour, Erin Seymour and Katie Seymour; His grandkids, Alex, Corrine, Ryleigh, Reese, James, Jack, Julia and Henry; His brothers, Robert and Jim and sisters, Alice, Jenan, Laura and Colleen, as well as by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Cletus, and his in-laws, Hank and Jean Vesey.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Timothy Murphy from Rocky Mountain Cancer Center for all his care and attention. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the Jack Seymour Memorial Fund, in care of Megan Zygmunt.
