

John William “J.W.” Linn, 21 years old, passed away on February 10, 2015 after a series of grand mal seizures. He was born on Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland on September 3, 1993 to Colonel John T. Linn (USAF, Retired) and Michelle Linn.
J.W. was a student at Alpine Autism Center and volunteered at The ARC Pikes Peak Region, Marian House, and the Ronald McDonald House. He loved the outdoors and was a regular hiker at Garden of the Gods Park. He was a sweet soul with a zest for life despite battling autism and epilepsy for many years.
He leaves behind his loving parents John and Michelle; brother Joshua; aunts Cherise Heinen (Matt) of Colorado Springs, CO; Lynn Urbanic (Mark) of Medina, OH; Sherri Stehlik (Art) of Lakewood, OH; Lori Cole (Greg) of Broadview Heights, OH; Holly Kimm (Gary) of McKinney, TX; and Katie Holland (Joe) of Fairfield, CT. He is also survived by Grandmothers Marlene Kason (George) of Port Clinton, OH; and Dianne Atkins (Jim) of Port Richey, FL. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers John R. Linn and William J. Miller.
Our family would like to thank the ICU Nurses at Penrose Main Hospital for their professional and loving care of J.W. during his final days. You helped us immeasurably during this difficult time.
A celebration of J.W.’s life will take place on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Alpine Autism Center, 2760 Fieldstone Rd, Colorado Springs, CO, 80919. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alpine Autism Center at www.alpineautismcenter.org
