Gloria was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and great-grandmother. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her, knew her as the most loving and forgiving person you would ever meet. She was long time member of SGI-USA, and her spiritual faith was held in her Buddhist beliefs. She truly believed in human mature, power of forgiveness, and light. There was never a moment in Gloria’s life where her deep belief of spirituality and connection was not evident and on display.
Gloria was a woman of many talents. She made a career out her love of sewing, but lived for fishing, gardening, cooking, dancing and laughter. You never needed to look far to experience the last two when in her presence.
Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 41 years Elmer Kirkpatrick, seven children, Geno Gibson, Mavis Gibson, Travis Gibson, Larry Gibson, Gabrielle Johnston, Rae Punches and Megan Stephens, two sisters, Elaine Ross and Yvonne Nicholson, sixteen grandchildren and Thirteen Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Louise Darbins and Father Nathaniel Darbins
