Gloria Jean Goede

Gloria was born December 7th, 1923 in DeKalb County, Illinois to George Clayton Rand and Clara Harris Rand. She graduated High School in Rochelle, Illinois and attended and graduated from Swedish American Hospital as a registered nurse.

She met and married Donald H. Goede on March 16th, 1947. They celebrated 72 years together. She was a dedicated, loyal and proud military wife. He promised her she would see the world and she did. They visited multiple states and countries and lived in France, Germany, and Spain.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Sr., and her three children, Donald Jr., Janis and Herbert. She was a homemaker, nature enthusiast (she loved the critters) and was the co-founder and co-owner of Skyway Creations, Inc. She had 7 grand children and 7 great-grand children. She was loved and will be missed. In honoring Gloria’s wishes there will be no service.
