

She was born at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs to Harry C. Epperson and Wanda West Epperson on May 5, 1061.
Evelyn went to school in Colorado Springs at Steel Elementary, North Junior High and Palmer High School. She graduated from high school in 1979. Evelyn graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Public Health. In 1995, she completed a masters degree in Hospital Management at the Denver University.
She had a 30 year career at Memorial Hospital starting in 1984 and retiring in 2014. After retirement she worked part time for a sewage waste collection company for 8 years.
Evelyn was a long time subscriber and donor to the Colorado Springs Symphony, a subscriber to the Fine Arts Center where she attended many plays, along with attending plays at the Ent Center for the Arts. She was a member of Colorado Springs Historical Society. From the time she was a teenager, she always loved dogs.
She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Wanda Epperson, brothers Terry Epperson and David Epperson, and a cousin; Craig West.
Evelyn is survived by her brothers; Allen Epperson of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Douglas Epperson of Winchester, Virginia and Wayne Epperson of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She also is survived by nieces; Marie Rushbrook, Jamie Ujvary and Amanda Rushbrook, her cousins; Brent West, Randy West, and David West, Paula McGuire, Jan Stringham and Kathy Williams.
She was especially grateful to Craig's wife, Susan who donated a kidney to Evelyn.
Celebration of life will be, Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 10am at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO, 80910.
Burial will be private at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery.
Evelyn will be dearly missed by all of her friends and family.
