Emily was born on August 20,1940 to the late Blanche and Herbert Fischer in Great Falls, MT. Her love of the state always kept her connected to her family and the “real cowboy” way of life.
She loved being a military wife and the many adventures and life-long friendships it brought.
She dedicated her life to her husband, three girls and grandchildren. She was the most, caring, kind, fun loving and friendly person, she never met a stranger. She was always up for an adventure. She loved traveling the world. She and Sam shared over thirty winters in Mexico where they enjoyed their love of deep sea fishing. She also loved her time big game hunting in Durango Colorado with friends and family. Her greatest passion was her love for John Elway and the Denver Broncos. She attributed every beautiful orange and blue sunset as a sure sign of a win on football Sunday.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Samuel T. Harrelson Jr., her daughters, Lisa Gaines of Louisville, KY, LuAnn Patterson (James) of Colorado Springs, CO and Lori Talbert (CJ) of Vestavia Hills, AL. Her grandchildren, David Patterson (Christa) and Cody Patterson (Jessica) of Colorado Springs, CO, Isabella Talbert and Sophie Mae Talbert, of Vestavia Hills, AL and great grandson, Blake Patterson of Colorado Springs, CO. Her brother, Delbert Dieziger (Sharon) of Great Falls,MT and many nieces and nephews.
