I worked with Beth at Foothills Elementary.  We were reading tutors and worked mostly one on one with children for several years.  BETH was very upbeat and enjoyed working with kids and adults alike.  She had tons of energy and dotted all the I’s and crossed all the t‘s.  Foothills had a VERY close  team in those days- we all respected each other, worked hard, and accomplished a lot.  We were “The Neighborhood School”and had a bond as tight as family. 
I remember there was an award for top paraprofessional one year and Beth won.  She came to me worried, almost in tears because she thought that I should’ve gotten the award ( the only reason might be because I was there longer than she had been).  The honest truth was that BETH Truly deserved that award.  She was accurate, upbeat and joyful to work with.  We were all good at our jobs but I was so touched that she was concerned for my feelings. Hardworking, fair and honest, All around “Good Egg” as they say, Beth was the kind of coworker everyone needs to have. I’m  so sad that I didn’t keep up with our friendship.  I moved on to another job and the intensity of teaching saps all of ones energy and focus. I always imagined her playing tennis and enjoying her grand daughter in retirement. I’m heart broken for me and all of us who knew her, but mostly for her family.  She talked about each of them with such love and admiration.  BETH is now one of my Foothills Elementary angels along with Karen, Linda and Kim, who I will always remember with joy.
