Colorado Springs native and life long resident, Doris A. (Roller) Kincaid went to be with Our Lord, on Friday, December 16th. She was born on June 13, 1921, to Donald and LaRue Roller, and grew up on the West Side, attending West Junior and then Colorado Springs High School.
Doris was a beauty operator on the West Side for several years, and long time member of Bethany Baptist Church. She married Leslie Kincaid, on March 15, 1944, and from that union had two sons; Alan and Duane. The couple lived on the West Side in their first and only home for 67 years.
Doris was very active in Cub Scouts, and was awarded the silver beaver award for her outstanding contribution to scouting. She was an avid crafter for many years. She and Les enjoyed square dancing, bowling, and after Les' retirement hundreds of miles of traveling in their motor home. Since April, she has been a resident of Winslow Court.
She is survived by her husband Leslie Kincaid, of Colorado Springs, Sons; Alan (Shirley) Kincaid of Arvada, and Duane (Jo) Kincaid of Fountain, three Grandchildren; Kimberly (Greg) Teel of Colorado Springs, Timothy (Tina) Kincaid of Brighton, and Shellie (Lenin) Ruiz of Fountain, also by six great grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, her brother Donald Roller, and a grandson Chris Kincaid.
A Viewing will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 9:00am with the Funeral Service to follow. Both will be held at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.
