David was born in Anniston, Alabama to David and Bonnie Meek on October 13, 1945. He went to school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He married Angela Atkinson on February 17,2024 in Peyton, Colorado.
He was a commercial contractor for TCB Associates and Regis Corporation for thirty years. He was the founder of the Smart Style hair salons in Walmart Super Centers. He and his crew built over 3,300 salons.
He took part in auto racing, jeep racing, snowmobiling, rodeos, and go kart racing. He coached his oldest son to two national championships in three-wheel racing. And He also coached his youngest son to two Colorado State championships in go kart racing.
David is preceded in death by father David Meek, Mother Bonnie Meek, son Shawn Meek, son Colby Meek, son Marland Meek, first wife Sue Ann Meek, and Uncle Eldon Hendrix.
David is survived by spouse Angela Atkinson, brother Mike Meek and spouse Bonnie Salins, cousin Robbie Meek and spouse Jan Meek, cousin Ron Ball and spouse Marsha, Aunt Roberta Hendrix, nephew Robert Meek, Micheal Meek, Carson Meek, Zane Meek, niece Michelle Terry and spouse Rodney, Camdyn Terry, and Casidy Terry.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm April 3rd at Memorial Gardens, Colorado Springs.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 4th at 1pm at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO, 80910.
The Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
