Charles Walter Eaton (Chuck), the fun loving square dancer, a Navy Man, Commercial Artist, Real Estate Agent, and Journeyman Electrician passed on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at his home in Black Forest, Colorado.
Chuck was born on October 30, 1924, to John Taylor (Ted) and Eunice (Casteel) Eaton. Chuck married the love of his life Edna Ruth Weaver-Manley on July 21, 1948 in Colorado Springs. Together they shared a passion for travel, enjoyed camping, fishing, and raising and racing appaloosa horses. Upon retirement Chuck enjoyed painting landscapes and tinkering in his shop. Chuck was an active member in the local Black Forest AARP Chapter, Square-Dance Club, and the IBEW 113 Electrician’s Union. It was noted that Chuck took after his Mother with a love for chocolate and a craving for pancakes.
Chuck is survived by his wife Edna, sister Betty Scott, son Alan (Margy), three grandchildren Jamee (Jeff Forsythe), Jason (Kevin Lynch), Rachel (Jason Pavia), and three great grandchildren: Kaile, Jett, and Dominick.
A memorial service is being held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2014, at the Black Forest Community Church, 6845 Shoup Road, Colorado Springs, C0 80908. Following the service the family asks that you join them for refreshments celebrating Chuck’s life. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Black Forest Community Church.
