Sandy. I am so glad that you let me know. You and Bette, despite the years, are so deep in my heart. What an amazing and loving couple you have been. We had funny times together. We were young. I will always remember Bette so upset after finding a the long-lost Fletcher in the mountains, thinking that his limp meant he was dying when, actually, he had his paw caught in his collar. How sorry I am that she shared this terrible disease with her mother and the years of loving care taking it has taken. Bette was one of the funniest and smartest women I knew and she didn't suffer fools, either. My love goes to you, her family and friends. I would love to see you.

Sandy, I have waited until the last minute because I really do not have the words to convey my deepest sorrow for your loss. Bette was very dear to you and I only knew her through you and a couple of other visits. She was very witty and your everything. That is what I KNOW. Love you and I know that you will miss her.

I send prayers and my sympathy to Bette's family, Sandy, and all her friends. I would have never passed English lit without her. The two of us gave Joyce plenty of stress in high school, and she still let us visit her in Jasper. Bette will always be my friend, and we'll probably get into trouble in heaven also.

It's been years since I came to Colorado to visit Bette, but she did indeed have the most wonderful smile! School days were always fun with her! May you rest in peace and know that you will be missed!

Bette, my best friend, I will see you again. I will always remember the laughs we had. You were so witty and had such a good sense of humor. You helped me when both of my parents died in the same year. You understood what grief means. You lost your dad shortly after my parents died. We helped each other get through this difficult time. Rest in peace Bette. She was a great and beautiful lady. I have fond memories of times spent around her.

I always enjoyed being around Bette. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She reminded me so much of my sister Bobbie. My kids always enjoyed visiting with Sandy and Bette. She has been on my mind a lot through her illness. Rest in peace sweet Bette.
